This pair of vintage Bedouin hoop earrings make great dance jewelry. They are mid-twentieth century and made with good silver. Each earring has three sets of three bells that make a lovely sound with movement.

The earrings are heavy and have thick gauge wires. This type of earring was not meant for wearing through ear holes but rather threaded into the hair.

The hoop is made of a single solid silver wire and ends in a barrel-shaped bead. The bottom of the hoop has dangles and is decorated with wound wire and granulation. The two earrings are slightly different. The end bead is bigger on one than on the other.Ā

The bead at the end has suffered a few dents on both earrings, but the earrings are generally in reasonable vintage condition.

Dimensions:

  • The diameter of the hoop is 4.5 cm (1 3/4").
  • The length from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of dangles is 7.5 cm (2 7/8").
  • Weight is a hefty 45.5 g.

Please note that if you intend to wear them, these have very thick ear wires, not at all like the western standard wires.
