Antique Silver and Coral Single Uzbek Earring
Single antique earring made with silver and coral. The earring is shaped as a hoop with threaded flat silver disc and coral beads. There is an arch that keeps these beads in place and its is also threaded with coral and silver beads. The small hoop earring has lost its pair, so it's only one. It is from the early twentieth century and is made of good-grade silver. It is generally in good condition, but the central bead is squashed.
A similar example can be seen in Jewellery from the Orient - Treasures from the Bir Collection, by Wolf-Dieter Seiwert.
The earring is 2.5 cm or 1" across. It weighs 4.4 grams.
