Vintage Indian Rigid Silver Neck Ring or Torque Necklace
Vintage Rajasthani silver neck ring called varlo or warlo from Rajasthan or Gujarat, India. It is from the first half of the twentieth century and also worn by Sindh people in Pakistan. made with silver wire wrapped around a thicker rigid silver cable. The silver is high-grade. The back of the torque is covered with leather, now worn in places.
The necklace opens by unlocking one of the hooks and slipping the neck in. It has some handmade mark on the inside of the clasp.
