Antique Islamic Ottoman Crescent and Star Silver Pendant

An old pendant shaped as a crescent moon and star and fashioned from silver filigree. The pendant is decorated with different colors of glass cabochons. This pendant may have been part of a bigger item of jewelry such as a necklace or headdress or chest ornament that was worn in Turkey proper (probably the Anatolia region) or the Balkan region. Size of the pendant is around 4.2 cm (1 5/8") length with the bail and 4.2 cm (1 5/8") width. Weight is 7.7 grams.
