Silver Yemeni Belt with Gold Gilt and Red Glass

A beautiful Yemeni belt, probably from Hadramout from the first part of the twentieth century. It has four hand woven silver mesh chains, brought together by 13 gilded silver segments with geometric applique decoraton. Three of these segments have red glass cabochons.  The closure is a simple hook ad loop.

It is in good condition with a lovely patina

Size: Length 74.8 cm (26 1/2"). Maximum Width  3.9 cm (1 1/2").  Weight is 280 g.
