A rare Yemeni Silver Anklet from Sayyun in Hadramaut, Yemen. A bride would wear two of those on her wedding day, one on each ankle. They are meant to be noisy because she is meant to dance and jingle on her wedding day.  A similar anklet is shown in Marjorie Ransom's book: Silver Treasures from the Land of Sheba. It is made of good silver and is generally in good condition, though there is a bit of tear on the outside of the anklet. This does not however affect the integrity of the anklet. There is a small old repair, evidence that this has been well used.

The inner Circumference is 19 cm (7 1/2") and 6 cm (2 1/2") in diameter. So it can work as a bracelet as well. The width of the band is 2.3 cm (7/8"). Weight is 135 g.
