Vintage Hoop Earring from Morocco

This single Moroccan earring is from the mid-20th century.  The earring features a raised circular central section that has green, and red glass insets. The earring is made from mixed metals with a gold gilt. A chain (not silver) was added to the ends to change the earring into a wearable bracelet. There is some wear to the gold on the earring.

The earring resembles earrings from Tetuan shown in the Museum Quai Branly. but could also come from Fes or Meknes.

• Inner circumference is 21 cm (8 1/4")
• The width is 3.2 cm (1 5/16") at the widest
• Weight is  33 grams
