Vintage Silver Head Ornament

This unique item is from the Levant from the first half of the 20th century, if not earlier. It was worn attached to the forehead 

The ornament is made up of two triangular finials decorated with blue and red cabochons. They are linked through three rows of four-lobed link chains to a rectangular central piece, also decorated with red and blue stones. From this middle element hangs a small pendant. The bottom of the chain has leaf-like dangles. 

The ornament tests as silver on a scratch test. It is in great condition for its age. Great for a collector or a museum collection. If you intend to wear it as a chocker, you need to add an extension chain.
