Vintage Middle East Hand Painted Mother of Pearl Story Bracelet

Vintage Mother of Pearl Hand Painted Link Bracelet from the Middle East from the 1940s. It has eight mother-of-pearl panels encased in a metal frame. The panels are connected together through barrel hinges. Each panel is a miniature painting drawn with a single brush hair under a magnifying glass and display what appear to be characters in a story.

The bracelet closes with a tongue-in-groove clasp, original to the bracelet. The inside of the clasp is marked in Arabic or Farsi script, in two places. Perhaps the name of the skilled maker. The bracelet is in good vintage condition, with only slight loss to the paint in a few places.  This is a lovely old bracelet akin to wearing a miniature art gallery on your wrist.
