Vintage Yemeni Bedouin Huge Silver Amulet Holder Pendant

This beautiful huge ornate amulet holder or hirz opens on one side to hold Koranic verses and incantations that will protect the wearer. The amulet holder is decorated with granulation and roping. The whole pendant is made of silver and is estimated to be about 80 years old. In good vintage condition. 

• Hirz measures  6 5/8" x 1 5/8"  (17 x  4.2 cm).
