High Atlas Headdress called "tasfift". The headdress has faux coins sewn on to a red vinyl band and has dome beads in between them. There are also tigthly wound wire tubular beads forming a zigzag border. I believe that at one time there were other coins hanging down from these. The head band is held to the head with a fabric string. The headdress is mid twentieth century.
The band measures 34 cm (13 1/2"). Width of the band is 2.5 cm (1"). The fabric tie is 22 cm (8 1/2").
