This is a beautiful Bosnian silver chain bracelet know locally as Belenzuka. It is from the late 19th century or early 20th century. This style of bracelet originated in Bosnia, in the former Yugoslavia and spread through the Balkans under Ottoman rule.  There are Western European bracelets and necklaces whose style echoes this type of Balkan jewelry.

The Bosnian silversmiths were traditionally known for their fine filigree and this bracelet has a lovely front panel worked in exquisite silver filigree which has a gold gilt.  The panel hides the push pin closure and is decorated with faceted blue and red glass.

There are 6 chains to this bracelet.  They may have silver content but it is quite low compared to the front panel. One of the chains has had a repair to a couple of its links, apart from that the bracelet is in fine antique condition.
