Antique Central Asian Silver Multi Band Ring Size 10
This is a fascinating ring from the late 19th century or early 20th century. It has five bands made of twisted silver wire that fit into rings under the central plaque and so are free moving. The face of the ring has five silver drops surrounded by roping. The ring that most resembles it that I have found is from the Teresa Battesti Collection at the Musee de l'Homme which references this ring to Azerbajan. I think this ring is also from that region and was worn on the index finger.
The middle of the ring is size 10. The front of the ring measures 7/8" or 2.2 cm in length and 1/4" or 0.5 cm in width. Weight is 9.9 g.
