Antique Indian Silver Coin Pendant One Rupee George V 1916

Coins have always been used in jewelry. This pendant is made of a George V silver coin minted in 1916 and has been embellished with wonderful roping and applique decorations sitting atop three bails of silver. It is possible that this pendant was part of big necklace. However, the middle bail has a loop with a ring in it suggesting it was used as a pendant. It's in excellent antique condition and ready to wear.

The coin's diameter is 1 3/16" (3 cm) with the bail it is 1 7/8" (4.8 cm). Weight is 17.5 g
