Antique Jewish Yemeni Silver Signed Bracelet for Small Wrist.
This North Yemeni Bedouin petite beauty is a rarity because Bedouin jewelry is hardly ever signed but this one is. It is an antique bracelet estimated to be from the 19th Century. Made by master Jewish silversmiths of the Yemen. There are three rows of florets separated by roping. The bracelet closes with a screw-in type of closure that works splendidly.
The bracelet tests positive for high grade silver and the most unusual thing about this bracelet is that there is a signature on the inside. It is not legible to me but it is definitely there.
This unique bracelet has a lovely patina that tells of its age. It is in reasonable vintage condition, but has been knocked around some. The silver sheeting on the inside has a gash. There are also missing florets and/ or silver drops. Despite that it is an absolute beauty. You can tell it was well worn and loved!
