Antique Silver Middle East Ottoman Charm Necklace or headdress
Antique Silver Middle East Ottoman Charm Necklace or headdress
Lovely filigree elements make up this charming antique necklace from the late 19th century - early 20th century. The origin is mostly likely Middle Eastern. This may have been part of a headdress at some point successfully converted into a necklace.
The necklace has floral filigree links and from those hang the mango shaped and round filigree elements. There are also five round floral filigree elements with a stone cabochon in its middle. Hanging from three of these are triangular elements with an applique star at their middle and three small disc dangles. All the elements of this lovely necklace are made with high grade silver with the exception of the hook clasp. The necklace is in good vintage condition but does have three mango shaped and one circular dangles missing.
