Vintage Silver Indian Amulet Pendant

This is an impressive silver indian amulet the 1960s or 70s. It is square in shape and is meant to keep a parchment within. It is nicely decorated with twisted wiring and applied florets. The pendant has three bails and three sets of bell dangles, similar to the jewelry from Rajasthan, though the exact origin of this pendant is not known. The pendant tests as silver on a scratch test, but the reaction indicates that it is either low grade or heavily plated. Some of the wire decoration, as well as one floret, is missing The back is also dented and has scratches (please see photos for details).
