Vintage Afghan Earrings, Sterling Silver, Lapis Lazuli, and Turquoise

This is a lovely pair of earrings made by an Afghan silversmith. They were made in the second half of the twentieth century and feature a tear-shaped lapis cabochon at the bottom and an inverted silver cone decorated with a border of tiny turquoises on the top.

The ear wires and the earrings themselves are sterling silver and the earrings are marked "925" on the back. They are in great vintage condition. Please note that the ear wires are slightly thicker than western standard ear wires.

There is a matching bracelet listed separately.

  • Total length with ear wires is 6.5 cm or 2 1/2 inches.
  • Width is 1.2 cm or 1/5".
  • Weight is 9.5 grams.
