A very pretty silver filigree necklace that I thought was from Oaxaca, Mexico, but it turns out it is actually Turkish from Madrin. The styles of filigree are very similar but I found a very similar style on a visit to Turkey. The necklace has five elements worked in fine silver filigree with pointed tassel dangles. The chain is made of linked oblong filigree links. The necklace closes with a spring ring mechanism. The style suggests the first half of the twentieth century. In good vintage condition. Unmarked but tested to be silver.
