This is really a beautiful bracelet from Egypt. It is made in the Ottoman tradition with 6 rows of linked chains made with four petaled links, each decorated with a rosette made of silver wire. The chains connect two filigree panels with a carnelian cabochon at the center. The third filigree panel hides the push pin closure. The filigree work is exquisite.
The filigree panels are stamped with the Egyptian hallmark identifying the bracelet as made in Cairo between 1936 and 1937 from 80% pure silver. The bracelet is in good vintage and is really a delicate and beautiful piece of jewelry. I believe the bracelet has been repaired and that once there were 7 chains instead of the existing 6. Moreover there are a few tiny rosettes missing, but apart from that in good vintage condition.
