Vintage Egyptian Coral and Silver Filigree Necklace
A fine coral and silver filigree pendant necklace from Egypt from the 1960s or 70s. The pendant is worked in lace-like filigree and adorned with genuine coral cabochons. It carries the 800 silver assay marks. The shape suggests the hand of Fatima, a protective hand symbol that deflects the "evil eye". The dangles stand in for the five fingers. The chain is a long thick rope chain which also tests as silver.
