Vintage Ethiopian Hinged Cross Pendant from the Gurage Area

A lovely vintage Ethiopian cross pendant from the southern region of Gurage. It is quite large and has a triangular hinged part. It is made with filigree panels on top of which are overlaid domes in the four directions and the center. The metal does not test as silver and has a gold hue which suggests it may have been gold gilt. In good vintage condition.

Length is 9.5 cm (3 3/4") with bail and width is 6 cm (2 1/2"). Weight is 25 g.
