Vintage Omani Silver Tribal Spike Bracelet
This is a unique Omani silver tribal spike bracelet from the first half of the 20th Century. This cuff is known locally as banjiri bu shawka because its spikes resemble thorns (shawk). It is made with high grade silver and has gold gilt on three strips.
There is a similar bracelet in the British Museum's collection http://www.britishmuseum.org/research/collection_online/collection_object_details.aspx?objectId=3474228&partId=1&place=40576&plaA=40576-2-11&page=2 and in Jehan S. Rajab's book Silver Jewellery of Oman. In good vintage condition.
