A nice carnelian silver ring with etched Arabic calligraphy. It is likely of Pakistani origin and was made in the 1980s or 90s. It was probably worn by a man but it could Etched into the carnelian is the Quranic phrase 

"افوض امري الى الله. ان الله بصير بالعباد" which translates to "I entrust my affairs to God. God is All-Seeing of His servants."  

This ring shows skilled silver hand-etching workmanship. The intaglio carving is of a stylized grazing horse. The ring tests as good silver on a scratch test and is in excellent vintage condition.

  • The face of the carnelian intaglio is approximately 2.5 x 3.5 cm ( 1" x 1 3/8" ). 
  • Size 9 on a mandrel but actually bigger because the band is oval.
  • The diameter of the band is 7 cm (2 3/4").
  • Weight is 17.3 g.
