Vintage Silver Filigree Ottoman Style Moroccan Bracelet with Ram's Head Hallmark
A beautiful and elegant Moroccan bracelet from the 1930's or 40's. Surprisingly this fine silver filigree work is Moroccan and not Tunisian as one would expect. It is reminiscent of the Djerba style bracelets made in Ottoman style with applique vine motif. The pin closure is hidden by a beautiful silver filigree flower used in Ottoman and Levantine and even Yemeni jewelry. There is a ram's head hallmark used to assay small objects for 800 silver in Morocco since 1925. The bracelet is in good vintage condition however the flower has lost two silver granules and I think the closure may be a replacement.
