A 1940s silver protective Kurdish necklace from Iraq. It features a big central triangular filigree pendant with 5 disc dangles which unlike the rest of the necklace does not test as silver. The chain is quatrefoil seen a lot in Iraqi necklaces. On either sides are triangular and tube pendants decorated with repousse patterns. The hook and eye closure does not appear to be original to the necklace. One of the dangles on a triangular pendant is missing, otherwise, the necklace is in good vintage condition.

The central pendant measures 7 x 5 cm (2 3/4 x 2").
