A fascinating hinged bangle from South India, or Sri Lanka. The bangle has intricate patterns embossed on the front and back. The body is made of cast patterned tubes of metal superimposed on an inner silver sheeting. The closure is a push-pin mechanism. The bracelet is from the second half of the century.
