Vintage Tibet Earrings Coral Colored Stone

Interesting pair of earrings from Tibet made for export. They are a vintage reproduction of the real ethnically worn earrings examples of which can be seen here worn by Tibetan women in the last Century.

These are miniature versions of the real earrings and my guess is that they were made for tourists. They are made to be worn through pierced ears and have larger gauge wire than western standard earrings. They have several coral colored stones inlaid within a mixed metal encasing. There is a small nick in one of the stones.

Length is 4 cm (1 1/2"). Width at widest is 2 cm (3/4"). Weight is 8 g.
