Vintage Tunisian Silver Bracelet Hadida from Djerba
Vintage Tunisian Silver Bracelet Hadida from Djerba
A beautiful and rare hadida silver bracelet from Djerba in Tunisia with a fine gold gilt and colored glass cabochons. Uncharacteristically, this bracelet has no enamel. The hinged bracelet has 4 "moor's head" assay marks near the pin closure, so the bracelet is from the first half of the twentieth century, since the moor head assay mark for 800 silver was used 1905-1942. It has lovely filigree and granulation and is in excellent vintage condition.  You can see similar bracelets in Anne Van Cutsem's book A world of Bracelets.
