Vintage Turkish Blackened Silver Tughra Necklace

This chic necklace was made in Turkey in the 1990s. It has two byzantine chains connecting the central medallions. The oval pendants carry a tughra on a blackened background. The tughra is the personal signature of sultan Abdul Aziz who reigned the Ottoman Empire between 1861-76.

The necklace closes with a lobster claw mechanism. It tests positive for silver on a scratch test and is in good condition. A unique necklace of excellent quality that looks very elegant.
