Vintage Yemen Bib Necklace

This is a mid-century Yemen bib necklace made of a row of rectangular metal beads on either side of the main component that has a red cabochon at its center. The rectangular beads are flanked by triangular finials. From the top row dangle chains end in egg-shaped dangles. All these elements are sewn onto cotton cloth. This particular pectoral necklace comes from Yemen, but its sisters were also worn in Saudi Arabia.

The necklace is in good condition and ties around the neck with twisted twine.

• The metal part is  20.5 x 14 cm (8  x 5 1/2 ").
• The total wearable length is 52 cm 20 1/2".
• Weight is 165.4 g.
