This complete Berber silver hoop earrings set comes from Ouerzazate in Morocco and it's from the first half of the twentieth century. The set includes two silver hoop earrings with glass cabochons: blue and red. From the bottom of the hoops dangles handmade filigree spherical beads and then filigree dangles that could be a stylized hands of Fatima.. The florets that surround the glass cabochons have old traces of enamel. The two earrings are connected by a series of three handmade chains that are in turn connected to coin pendants and meet in a larger ring connected to a tear shaped pendant with yellow glass cabochon at its center. This pendant has a hook which would connect to the headdress. The earrings set is complete and in original uncleaned condition.All the components test as silver.

  • Hoops measure 5 cm or 2" in diameter.
  • With dangles, the earrings are 10.5 cm or just over 4"
  • The chain connecting the two earrings is 48 cm or 19" long
  • Weight is 144.8 grams.
  • The ear wires are around 2.7 mm across.
