This is an impressive and substantial Egyptian silver bracelet from the 1940s or '50s. It is constructed out of hinged panels. Each made with very intricateĀ filigree work. Each panel is decorated with iridescent opaline cabochons that I think are old Czech foiled glass opal-like cabochons. The panels are decorated with braided roping and are interconnected with narrow hinges and the bracelet closes with a push pin mechanism that works well. There are assay marks for 80% pure silverĀ on several panels indicating its Egyptian origin. The bracelet has a gold gilt that is a bit worn on the edges and there is some oxidation. Apart from that, it is in good vintage condition.
