This is pretty rare ring from the Middle East, Mid Century or earlier. It has several bands and was worn by Turkic nomadic women on the index finger. The ring has five thin bands held together by a plaque with five small turquoise beads. The use of the number 5 is common in Islamic jewelry for protective purposes. The blue beads, also number five, and the use of the color blue is also amuletic. The metal does not test as silver. It may be a low grade silver or mixed metals.
You can see a very similar ring in the Quai Branly Museum collection.
The face is 2.2 cm (just short of 1"). The weight is 8.3 g. Size is 9 1/2 at the middle.
