This is a rare Kurdish silver cuff bracelet from the early part of the twentieth century. It has five domes on its body and the ends are decorated with genuine turquoise stones. One end looks like it is missing the round floral arrangement present on the other sides, but I've checked all the examples that I've come across and they have a similar arrangement, so that leads me to believe that this was intentional. Perhaps the bracelet was an abstract form of a serpent, a powerful motif in ethnic jewelry.
A similar bracelet exists in the Musee du Quai Branly in France.
The bracelet is made out of silver and is adorned with turquoise. One turquoise is missing, but in general in good vintage condition.
