This is a lovely example of a Tunisian silver cuff bracelet. The cuff has hand-incised patterns of fish, a common motif in Berber jewelry, thought to bring fertility to its wearer. A similar example can be seen in Anne Van Cutsem's book A World of Bracelets. In terms of age, it has an assay mark stamped on its inside. This mark could be the "tĂȘte de nĂšgre" used in the early part of the twentieth century, but it is too worn to tell for sure. The assay mark would indicate that it is 80-90% pure silver, and indeed, it does test as good quality silver. The bracelet is in good vintage condition and ready to be loved again.
