Vintage Silver Turkish Star Bracelet from the 1930s

A lovely authentic Late Ottoman silver Turkish bracelet, known locally as bilesik, meaning made of components. It is made of five-pointed stars. Each star is individually soldered to four twisted rings and these rings are connected by small jump rings. The effect is a very flexible and lovely bracelet. It closes with a push pin closure that is secured through a small chain. There is one old repair to one of the jump rings that had gone missing, other than that, it is in good condition and ready to wear.

There is an example of this type of bracelet in the Quai Branly Museum in France.
