Antique Silver Upper Arm Bracelet from Rajasthan, India

This is a very impressive upper arm bracelet from Rajasthan, India. It has columns of high grade silver wires lined up next to each other and threaded on thick cotton thread. For adjustment, the closure is composed of a sturdy silver chain and hook, rather than the traditional slip knot. The chain ends in small bells, adding a unique touch.  Wear it just like the court women from the Frank and Frances Carpenter collection! It works just as well since you can adjust it to the size of your arm. Wear it just above the elbow, like the lady in the old photo from the Library of Congress collection from the Frank and Frances Carpenter collection. In good vintage condition and perfect for a special occasion.
